I hate to be uptight but... I’m offended. Not just by the color but by the wheels too - those are from an XJS, where they look great. Here? not so much.

That looks good, but a proper XJ color it isn't.

I like that blue Jag. I wouldn’t want the ownership costs though.

Porsche 911 also looks good in blue:

You’re right. Somehow it works. I like the vented bonnet, too.

But you have to admit that that color keying is pretty damn spiffy.

What I mean is, you drive a garishly repainted jeep and are now dissing on a garishly repainted jag.

And, yes, it is perfect.. on a 2006 GMC Sonoma. At the very least you could have gone for Chrysler Solar Yellow to keep it in the family.

As someone with experience in driving garishly-colored vehicles I am more than qualified to discuss the appropriateness of such a garish color on a stately vehicle.

Also, to keep it “in the family” I would need to paint my vehicle Normandy Blue, which was the original color or, in keeping with the yellow theme, Michigan yellow. Saying my Willys is part of the Chrysler family is like you finding a Neaderthal in your family tree.

PYH/VYH appeared on the TJ Wrangler. It’s part of the official Jeep Lineage™.

Kinja'd!!!

To paint it in the colors of Jeep’s competition is just wrong.

As if the Sonoma were competition for the TJ.
